I have become one.

The Office season premiere was amazing. Funny, dramatic, cute, full of surprises. Amazing.

AND Pushing Daisies starts next week, and rumors and teasers all have something to do with Olive and—nuns? And apparently, a tribute to The Sound of Music haha.

In other news, there's no news. I still knit. Haruha is inching along. Mon Cherie is inching along. Fall is inching along, as I am reluctantly making the wardrobe change to sweaters and jackets.

Yeah, I feel your pain. How boring can my posts get? :P But hopefully I shall have some art done soon, so you'll get to see something other than my excuses to blog and not research my History project.
Also (hopefully) I'll kick my brain into gear and churn out some new knit designs. Cause the fans demand more patterns!!!

When you have no electricity . . .

1. You play the piano for a good half-hour before your brothers shout that they're sick of hearing Fur Elise. Your mother agrees.
2. You try to draw, but this fails as there are no lights and the sun is setting.
3. In defeat, you listen to your iPod until you are sick of hearing Fur Elise play in the back of your head, despite what's coming out of the headphones.

Finally, the cable, Internet, and power come back on and you nearly sprint to the computer.

I discovered Haruha on Ravelry and had an itch, no, AN ABSOLUTE COMPULSIVE NEED to start it.

Sometimes, I wonder if loving my knitted pieces as much as I do can lead to some strange mental condition :D

Grrr. Unfortunately, The Frog work in stages, too.
1. You're ecstatic because the lace is coming out so well.
2. You see a mistake a few rows back. No problemo!
Rippit.
3. You hurry along, churning out another lace repeat.
4. There's another mistake, but only a few rows back. We can make that up!
Rippit.
5. You knit like a madwoman (but a careful, chart-reading madwoman), lace flying.
6. Guess what I see a few rows back?!
Rippit (in an insane, sadistic frog croak/laugh way).

I do believe in the power of stuff

School and having to wake up 3 hours earlier than I'd like is starting to take it's toll on me this week.

Luckily, there are good people on the Internet :)

Lately, since my favorite TV shows haven't started yet, I've been going into what I call Avatar Deprivation Realization Depression. ADRD has come along because one of my all-time favorite shows (Avatar: The Last Airbender) ended with a spectacular series finale.
ADRD has me itching to watch three seasons again and again and AGAIN, and maybe a few more times after that, because now the show's over and what else do I have left?!

Then I came across this spectacular video on YouTube.

If you're not a fan of the show, watch it anyway, because it features a very talented girl playing the music from the last scene of the finale on the piano, and in fact, it is so accurate that I can play the scene in my head, and sometimes I even tear up because that is my very favorite scene :)
Plus, it is also amazing because she figured it out by ear. (Trust me, non-Avatards, it still sounds unbelievablely pretty even though you don't watch)

My brother has a YouTube account, and so he commented on the video for me, and guess what?!

SHE SENT ME THE SHEET MUSIC!!!!!!

maliaana, not only is this post for you, you have made my entire week. Now I'm at least occupied until The Office starts up again :D

Today is the last day of the 2008 Olympics.

Today is my last day of summer.

Tomorrow school starts.

Thanks for the stories, thanks for the summer, thanks for the inspiration.
