Trading names

Been sick lately. Unfortunately, I don't have much creative content for you this time around (again), so we're going to do something else.

These are my friends:

Related by Delusion~drawn to photography and yarn, averse to pink. Home of an awesome blog title (she was so picky about it) :D

Thick Woolen Socks~the literary, the fangirly, and the knitty. Home of the best profile picture ever (art by guess who?) :D

Go check them out!

(The bad news is, now people in real life can find me on the web. Crap…?)

FO: Aquamarine Socks

Gee, it only took nine months!
To complete a project originally intended to be done in two weeks.

Totally worth it :D

A few short notes on the modifications:
Because this yarn is DK, the socks are thick. Since I'm not a person for high socks, I knit only one pattern repeat on the leg. I'm also not a fan of grafting toes, so I stole and modified this pattern for a toe knit in the round and gathered at the top. As a result, the foot pattern repeats only two and a half times, and my toe is nice and rounded instead of bluntly grafted.

Being sick=productive knitting

Time to rest now, ugh…

I am *such* a nerd

Okay, so today I am not feeling so well. My throat hurts and I am just really tired.

But my mom knows how to cheer me up.

Yes, it is an electric typewriter! My mom was helping my grandma go through some of my late great-aunt's old stuff, and they found it. My grandma wanted to give it to her church's flea market, but my mom, knowing me so well, said she would take it.

And now, it's all mine!!!!!!!! :D

It doesn't have that much ink, but what a chance that Staples has ink for this model in stock! :) Tomorrow we'll go down to get some and my baby will be juiced up!

*geeky love squirts out of my ears*

Bleck

That pretty much sums it all up.
I have the sick today, which means:
runny nose
headache
clogged throat
tiredness
contagious-ness (I wipe down everything I touch)
In other matters, here's some art.

I drew it as a cover for this mythology thing we had to do in Language Arts. The crying lady is Selene, the moon goddess (you can find the myth here ((And please ignore the crappy image quality, the one below is kinda better)))

Well, that's all to report!
Ugh, I need some soup.
*sniff* And tissues.
