Boredom does weird things to you

Tonight I should be getting ready to watch The Office. But THE STUPID WRITERS HAVE TO STRIKE AND RUIN MY THURSDAY NIGHT.
So instead, I am googlewhacking.

A googlewhack is a random phrase that only comes up with one result on Google. It may seem simple, but it's actually really really really hard to find a googlewhack. Jackalope hopscotch got me 398.

One Uptown mitten ready to go!! I'm having a hard time believing I actually knit it without any patterns.

Uptown Mitten 1

I can't seem to get the lighting right in knitting pictures. Oh well. The first mitten conceived from brain scratch is coming along nicely. The braided cable isn't coming out exactly as I pictured, but it isn't terrible, so I'll deal.

Also, if any of you come across a book by the author April Young Fritz, I advise you to run far, far away. Her books are very boring. Trust me. My Language Arts teacher is forcing us to read them. It's the equivalent of watching paint dry.
And when you are finished running, stop and buy the Uglies trilogy, or anything else by Scott Westerfeld. It will instantly wake you up. ;)

I woke early *groan* today to go down and see the Macy's Holiday Parade. It was fun, but *now my feet are like num and yet still in pain*
*And that poor grammatical usage and misspelled word is an example of how tired I am right now

Also, I FINISHED CORONET!!!!!!!!!!

It looks pretty good, my pictures are just crappy.

I started the first Uptown mitten. There are a few setbacks, as I am creating the pattern from brain scratch, and I mess up often, but I am certain it will turn out fabulous!
Well, hoping, anyway.

Coronet is almost done. I knit my fingers off last night and watching the Macy's Parade on TV this morning, and now all that's left are the decreases.
Take that, stockinette stitch!
Also, I found what I was looking for.

Man, the gods of Ravelry and brilliant ideas are on a roll today.
While I am in no mood to pay $5 for the pattern, I can surely easily replicate it, and convert it to mittens, maybe even keep it as gloves.
